Four Pieces of Stoneware, primarily American, 19th century, a one-gallon jar with slip-trailed floral and wavy line decorations, stamped "SMITH & DAY / MANUFACTURERS / NORLWALK, CT"; an undecorated, cylindrical jar, Midwestern or Southern U.S. origin; a two-gallon salt-glazed jug, and a brown-glazed food mold. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Norwalk jar with base broken into two pieces and reglued. Jar with two in-the-firing pings to rim, a rim chip, an in-the-firing lime ping to shoulder, and small base chips. Jug with wear to base of handle and two glazed-over chips to bottom edge. Mold with tiny rim nick.
