Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jar with cobalt highlights and doubly-stamped maker's mark, which reads "P.H. SMITH SMITH", Springfield Township, Summit County, OH origin; a two-gallon semi-ovoid jar with brushed and slip-trailed floral motif with inverted "GEDDES N.Y." maker's mark; and a one-gallon ovoid jar with slip-trailed flourish, stamped "W. ROBERTS / BINGHAMTON". Smith jar with small chips to interior of rim, a bubbled spot on underside, and an in-the-firing, glazed-over handle chip. Geddes jar with broken and reglued base, some fry to cobalt, exfoliation to left side/front of jar, two rim chips, a small worn section to rim, and tiny nicks to interior of rim. Roberts jar with a large, faint Y-shaped line to underside and a crack from rim on reverse.
