Scarce Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled, "FROM / J. LITTELL", Greensboro, PA, circa 1870, semi-ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim and tooling to body and shoulder, the front featuring the stenciled cobalt maker's mark, "FROM / J. LITTELL". Excellent condition with a glazed-over rim chip, a minor 1/1/4" glazed-over scratch to front, and some faint traces of old white paint to surface.
