Unusual One-Quart Stoneware Pitcher, Stamped "W.H. THOMAS", Huntingdon, PA, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with stepped rim molding and tooling at base of collar, the surface covered in a reddish-brown Albany slip glaze. Midsection impressed "W.H. THOMAS". A difficult-to-find form for this maker. A long hairline to base area on reverse. Light wear to rim with a minor chip to interior of spout, a small rim chip, and a minor rim nick. H 6 3/8".
