Two Sewer Tile Figures, Midwestern U.S. origin, probably Ohio, 20th century, a large pig bank with incised details to face, paired with a bear with hand-incised hair. Literature: Pig illustrated in Adamson, Illustrated Handbook of Sewer Pipe Folk Art. Provenance: Pig, Ex-Corwin Collection. Pig in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Bear with some in-the-firing surface cracks to interior and a surface crack to neck on reverse. H (of pig) 9 3/4".
