Two Pieces of New York State Stoneware, 19th century, a three-gallon ovoid jug with split-stemmed cobalt floral decoration, stamped "E.S. FOX ATHENS", paired with a four-gallon crock with double-blossomed floral motif, stamped "E.A. MONTELL / OLEAN, N.Y.". Jug in very nice condition with a small spout chip, some crazing to spout, and some faint, minor crazing to base. Crock with a 5 3/4" crack from rim, a chip to interior of rim, a small Y-shaped surface line to reverse, not visible on interior.
