Seven Stoneware Bottles, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, one with cobalt-highlighted advertising, "SMITH & SNOW / WHITEROOT / WHITEROOT / PAT. JULY 17 66 / ITD & CO 1873"; one with cobalt-highlighted name, "A. REYNOLDS"; one with cobalt-highlighted advertising, "J FRANCIS / HOP BEER"; one with cobalt-highlighted neck, stamped "JOHN WILLIAMS"; one with cobalt-highlighted name, "JOHN HOWELL"; and two unmarked with cobalt-decorated tops. Smith & Snow bottle with a base chip and minor spout nick. Reynolds bottle with several spouts chips, a short line in spout, and a iron ping to side. Francis bottled with restoration to side and base, as well as some lesser unrestored flaws. Williams bottle with dryness to surface, a spout chip and ping to spout, and two minor base chips. One unmarked bottle with a large chip and wear to spout and base. Other unmarked bottle with a shallow in-the-firing flake to underside at edge and some staining. H (of Smith & Snow bottle) 10".
