Rare One-Gallon Martinsburg, WV Stoneware Advertising, Jar, Palatine, WV origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the front featuring the stenciled advertising, "FRAZER & BISHOP / DEALERS / IN / GENERAL / MERCHANDISE / MARTINSBURG / WV". Reverse with straight and wavy cobalt stripes below rim. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor wear to reverse.
