Two Stoneware Canning Jars, circa 1875, both of similar tapered form with inner wax sealer rim, one stenciled "A. CONRAD / SHINNSTON / W VA", the other stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / MANUFACTURERS / GREENSBORO. PA". Conrad jar with spider crack on underside, continuing partway up side of jar, heavy chipping to interior of rim, and a few chips to inner wax sealer rim. Hamilton jar in excellent condition with two minor nicks to inner wax sealer rim. H (of Shinnston jar) 8 3/4".
