Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Flowering Urn Motif, Western PA origin, circa 1875, with tooled shoulder and inner wax sealer rim, the front decorated with a stenciled design of an open-handled urn brimming with flowers. Chips to inner wax sealer rim. Some old residue to top of rim. A small in-the-firing chip to underside at edge. A small area of in-the-firing salt residue to bottom edge of jar. H 6 1/2".
