Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1835, ovoid pitcher with tooled collar, decorated around the body with a brushed stem bearing flowers and graduated leaves. Collar decorated with brushed cobalt swags. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Missing handle, with traces of old blue paint to places were handle was broken off. Crazing throughout. A glazed-over, 1 1/8" base chip. Two shallow adjacent spout nicks, a tiny rim nick, and a surface nick to body. H 9 1/4".
