Rare and Fine Miniature Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, New York State origin, circa 1830, ovoid jar with tall, flaring collar, and finely-formed lug handles, decorated on the front with a large brushed cobalt flower extending from a leafy stem and on the reverse with a brushed cobalt swag design. Exceptional size with attractive form and decoration. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection; Ex-Kelly Young Collection. Near mint condition with a few tiny rim nicks and a small, shallow chip on top of rim. H 3".
