One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Huntingdon County, PA origin, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with tall collar and tooled rim, decorated on the front with a brushed flowering vine design. Swag decoration flanking the spout and small swags on each side of collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Spider crack on underside, including a reglued piece on underside. This crack forms a significant Y-shaped crack on side of pitcher, which extends through lower handle terminal. Significant chips to spout area. Chips to rim, including a 1 1/2" rim chip on reverse.
