Rare Pair of Miniature Redware Presentation Pitchers, attributed to Jacob Medinger, Limerick Township, Montgomery County, PA, early 20th century, made for sisters, both of ovoid form with flared collars, decorated with sponged manganese over a mottled orange and green ground. One incised "Ellen S", the other incised "Susie S". Few presentation pieces by Jacob Medinger are known. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market pair, purchased at an auction in Bucks County, PA. Both in as-made condition, the "Susie S" pitcher with an in-the-firing separation at the center of the handle. H (of Susie S pitcher) 3 1/2".
