Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, second quarter 19th century, a two-gallon jar with cobalt floral motif, stamped "F.J. CAIRE, / Huntington, / L.I."; paired with a two-gallon ovoid jug with drape and foliate motifs. Caire jar with a 6" curving crack from rim on side/reverse of jar, some faint lines on underside, not visible on interior, some staining, and a 2" Y-shaped line to side of jar, not visible on interior. Jug with a small chip to interior of spout and two salt drips to front.
