One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to D.P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with semi-rounded rim and tooling to midsection and shoulder, the front decorated with an undulating vine bearing a tulip blossom. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a sixty-year private collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
