One-Quart Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to D.P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA, circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a large cobalt tulip plant on the front. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a sixty-year private collection. A 1 1/2" hairline from rim. Some light staining to surface. H 5".
