Rare One-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "JB", John Barnes, Randolph County, AL, mid to late 19th century, cylindrical jug with tooled shoulder, squared spout molding, and appealing narrow form, the surface covered in a light olive-colored alkaline glaze. Impressed "JB" on spout. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Very nice condition with a few small spout chips and a tight hairline through handle.
