Extremely Rare Stoneware Muffineer with Impressed Floral Decoration, probably New York State origin, 19th century, octagonal, slip-cast form with footed base, raised molding at shoulder, and perforated top, decorated with an impressed and cobalt-highlighted design of a flower blossom flanked by leaves. Original hole for filling in underside. One of a few examples of this form known in American stoneware. Excellent condition with staining and minor base wear. H 6 3/4".
