Half-Gallon Bowery, NY Stoneware Advertising Jug, New York State origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tapered spout underscored with a cobalt band, the front featuring the slip-trailed cobalt advertising, "Steinhardt Bros. & Co. / 313 Bowery / N.Y.". Provenance: Robert Meltzer Collection. Hairline through handle. Two very minor glazed-over nicks to spout. A small piece of kiln furniture adhered to underside.
