Two Remmey, Philadelphia, PA Stoneware Jars, circa 1875, both of similar ovoid form with tall collar and applied lug handles, one with cobalt foliate decoration, stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA." under one handle, the other unsigned with cobalt tulip motif on front and reverse. Provenance: David Musser Collection. Signed jar with chips to one handle, one chip to opposite handle, small rim chips, and some fry to cobalt. Unsigned jar with a few rim chips and a restored handle.
