Two Pieces of Remmey Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Philadelphia, PA origin, third quarter 19th century, a small-sized, ovoid jar with foliate decoration around the shoulder; paired with a lid with swag-decorated edge and cobalt brushwork around knob. Jar in excellent condition with some light staining and a small, in-the-firing chip to bottom edge. Lid with chips to knob, two chips to flange on underside, and a 1 1/2" crack along flange on underside. H (of jar) 6 1/2".
