Two New York State Stoneware Advertising Jugs, circa 1890, a one-gallon jug with cobalt inscription, "Casey Bros.", stamped "E.W. FARRINGTON / ELMIRA, N.Y."; paired with a one-gallon jug with stenciled cobalt cross and the advertising, "ADOLPH MOESCH / 384-396 Broadway / BUFFALO, N.Y.", stamped "CO-OPERATIVE / POTTERY CO. / LYONS, N.Y.". Provenance: David Musser Collection. Casey Bros. jug with crack in base of handle and hairline from spout on reverse. Moesch jug with Y-shaped hairline in underside and two short hairlines in spout.
