Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Wreath Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA", circa 1865, ovoid jug with tapered spout, decorated with a brushed cobalt wreath surrounding the capacity mark. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Light cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Very nice condition with some small in-the-firing chips to surface.
