Small-Sized Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Drape Decoration, Manhattan, NY origin, possibly Crolius family, early 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base and heavily-tooled shoulder, decorated around the shoulder with a brushed drape motif accented with spots. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a fifty-year private collection. A few rim chips. A minor glazed-over base chip. H 7 1/2".
