Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W.H. FARRAR & Co. / GEDDES. N.Y.", circa 1860, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a flowering plant with striped base and heavily-shaded blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. An 8 3/4" line to right side of jug. Significant fry to center flower and some fry to other flowers. A small in-the-firing surface chip to right of lower handle terminal. A small base chip. A faint, horizontal 2 3/4" line at base.
