Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Dated 1853, Stamped "I.H. WANDS / OLEAN. NY", 1853, cylindrical jug with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded spout, decorated with a folky spotted flower blossom above the underscored date "1853". Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Some fry to cobalt. A 1 1/4" spout chip.
