Outstanding Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Dramatic Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Beaver, PA, circa 1860, ovoid jar with handles, decorated with a sweeping vine with leaves and three large flowers. Decoration covers a very large portion of the front of this jar. Large amount of cobalt applied around and above handles. A stunning example of Beaver, PA, stoneware. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Near mint condition with one small handle chip. Height 13 1/2".
