Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Bean Pot with Combed Decoration, Sand Mountain, AL origin, fourth quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with applied handle, flared collar, and five rows of incised lines, the shoulder and base decorated with a band of wavy incised combing. Surface covered in a mottled brown alkaline glaze. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 1/2".
