Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "J.E. ENEIX & CO. / NEW GENEVA, PA", circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with freehand stripes, a central geometric motif, and J.E. ENEIX maker's stenciling accented with stenciled vertical dashes. Base with large stenciled "3" flanked by foliate motifs. A 1 1/2" in-the-firing chip to base on side of jar. A small chip and stone ping to one handle. Other handle with a chip. Some fry to cobalt.
