Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Syrup Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WM. MOYER. / HARRISBURG. PA", circa 1858-1861, semi-ovoid jug with flared and pinched pouring spout, the front decorated with a large brushed tulip featuring open-centered leaves. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and lower handle terminal. Exceptional form. Cracks in handle, one of which is sealed, indicate the handle may be broken and reglued. Otherwise excellent condition. H 11 3/4".
