One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Impressed Floral Motif, attributed to Jonathan Fenton, Boston, MA, late 18th century, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded spout, decorated with an impressed and cobalt-highlighted design of a daisy with detailed blossom and leaves. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A horizontal hairline through handle. A few in-the-firing contact marks to surface. A minor chip to underside at bottom edge of jug. A short, faint line at base, probably in-the-firing.
