Stoneware Butter Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with heavily-tooled shoulder and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed tulip motif, along with cobalt highlights to the handle terminals and a line of cobalt underneath each handle. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Excellent condition with a few rim chips. H 4 3/4" ; Diameter 8 1/4".
