Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, probably Philadelphia, PA origin, early to mid 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated in yellow slip with a central wavy band flanked by stylized flag-shaped trails. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Excellent overall condition with a small rim chip, other very minor rim wear, a small fleck of in-the-firing glaze loss near edge, and some in-the-firing discoloration along edge. Diameter 9 7/8".
