Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Advertising, New York State origin, circa 1850, cylindrical jar with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed floral motif below the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "LESLIE & BLAISDELL / IMPORTERS AND DEALERS / CROCKERY, GLASS WARE, / STONE WARE & FURNITURE / POTSDAM, N.Y.". A 1" chip to right handle. Chipping to inner rim, which would hold a lid. A minor chip to interior of rim.
