Unusual Stoneware Flowerpot with Impressed Federal Eagle Decoration, attributed to Gardiner Stoneware Manufactory, Gardiner, ME, circa 1876-1900, large-sized, tapered pot with semi-rounded rim and attached saucer, featuring four impressed designs of a flying Federal eagle holding a flag. Shallow chipping around two of the original drain holes at base. A few minor rim chips. A 4 1/2" hairline extending through saucer and onto pot. A 1" chip to saucer and other small saucer chips. An approximately 3" X-shaped surface line on side of pot, not visible on interior. H 12 3/4".
