Scarce Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Flowerpot, Gardiner, Maine origin, circa 1840, tapered flowerpot with tooled shoulder and attached saucer, decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip design. Small in-the-firing stone ping to front. Some bubbling to cobalt. Faint 3 3/4" vertical line on front. Small stone ping and tiny nick to rim. H 7 7/8" ; Width (at opening) 8 3/4".
