Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "THOMPSON, WILLIAMS & CO. / MORGANTOWN, / W. VA.", circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and tapered rim, featuring "Thompson Williams & Co." maker's stenciling, a freehand stripe at the shoulder, and a cobalt script "2" at base. A V-shaped crack on underside, continuing 4" up reverse in two places. Otherwise as-made condition.
