Fine Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1830, ovoid pitcher with tooled collar, decorated around the body with an unusual design of large stylized tulip blossoms including cobalt-accented interiors. Cobalt leaf decoration to collar. Cobalt leaf or flower decoration around collar. Heavy cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 9 1/2".
