Rare Miniature Stoneware Pitcher with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration and Serrated Handle, Ohio origin, probably Mogadore, mid 19th century, ovoid pitcher with flared collar, finely-tooled rim, and highly-unusual handle with serrated edge. Front decorated with a two-stemmed tulip plant including spotted accents throughout. Dashed decoration to rim. Decoration is consistent with motifs employed in the state of Ohio, most notably in Mogadore. Excellent size, form, and decoration. Very nice condition with a 3/8" rim chip on reverse, including a very faint 3/8" line descending from it. An additional, minor 3/8" line from rim on left side of pitcher. H 4 1/2".
