Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim with wax sealer interior, decorated with a diagonally-stenciled pinwheel motif along with freehand stripes below the rim and at the base. Heavy chipping to interior of rim itself. Significant losses to inner wax sealer rim. Small hole in underside with some short, faint lines emanating from it. Lamp wire hole drilled at base on reverse. H 8 3/8".
