Stoneware Canning Jar with Heavy Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded wax sealer rim, decorated with six wide cobalt stripes across the front. A 3 3/4" inverted Y-shaped hairline from rim on left side of jar, descending from a small rim chip. Other minor wear to interior of rim. A shallow base chip and some minor base nicks. H 8 1/4".
