Glazed Redware Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim molding, decorated with sponged manganese over a mottled ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed at shoulder with John Bell maker's mark. Unusual form. Very nice condition with light surface wear and a very faint 2 1/4" line from rim on front. H 5 1/4".
