One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON. / BENNINGTON VT.", circa 1855, semi-ovoid jug with pronounced spout, decorated with a slip-trailed floral motif including a spotted blossom. Light cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Provenance: David Musser Collection. A 1" handle chip. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
