Half-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Drape Decoration, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / NEW-YORK", circa 1810, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, decorated with draped brushwork around the shoulder and cobalt highlights to the handle terminals. Impressed with oval Clarkson Crolius, Sr. maker's mark at shoulder. Restored handle. Otherwise excellent, essentially as-made condition with a few typical in-the-firing contact marks to surface. H 8 1/4".
