Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Signed and Dated "Lanier Meaders / 1987", Cleveland, GA origin, 1987, ovoid jug with applied face including well-detailed eyes with carved lids, incised eyelashes, and kaolin eyes with cobalt pupils. Incised on underside "Lanier Meaders / 1987". Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 9 1/2".
