Scarce Stoneware Mug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to D.P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA, circa 1870, barrel-form mug with heavily-tooled foot and shoulder, decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip extending up the front. Circular cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a thin in-the-firing contact mark to front. H 5".
