Fine and Scarce Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Wax Sealer with Stenciled Pears Decoration, Stenciled "Hamilton & Jones. / Greensboro Pa.", circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded, wax sealer rim, the front featuring Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling above a stenciled pears motif. Freehand cobalt stripe below rim. Crisp stenciling with desirable fruit motif. Excellent condition with a 3/4" chip to inner wax sealer rim. H 8 3/8".
