Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA.", Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, decorated around the shoulder with seven conjoined cobalt leaves. Impressed at base with "R.C.R. / PHILA." maker's mark. Good form and size. A 3 1/2" hairline from rim. Minor wear to rim. H 8".
