Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1860, ovoid jar with tall collar, footed base, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front a two-stemmed flowering plant bearing six blossoms. Shoulder with brushed swags. Reverse with two tulips joined at the base. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals with a wavy line of cobalt underneath each handle. A Y-shaped crack from rim, extending 5 1/2" vertically from rim. A 1 1/2" chip to foot. A 3/4" rim chip.
